3 Easy-to-Make Halloween Sweet Treats

Halloween Sweet Treats

With Halloween upon us, I’m sure many of us have plans for this weekend! Between the trick-or-treating, fall fests, school Halloween parties and neighborhood gatherings, our calendars are filling up!

Maybe you’re the hostess. Maybe you’ve been asked to bring dessert to a party. Or maybe you just want a sweet treat to have on your counter over the weekend. Whatever your case may be, baking will probably be on your agenda.

If you’re trying to search for something creative, look no further! We have found 3 easy, simple recipes for some delicious spooky snacks. Take a look for yourself!

1. Pumpkin Pretzels

How cute are these mini pumpkin pretzels? You can’t get more simple than four ingredients.

Ingredients:

  • Green M&Ms
  • 16 oz. white melting chocolate
  • Orange food coloring
  • 1 bag of tiny twist pretzels

Instructions:

  1. Line a baking sheet with wax paper.
  2. Heat the melting chocolate according to package directions
  3. Add food coloring until the chocolate is the tint of orange you prefer.
  4. Drop the pretzels (a few at a time) into the orange chocolate and, using a fork, submerge them until they are completely orange.
  5. Remove with fork and place on the waxed paper to dry.
  6. Immediately place a green M&M on the top of the pretzel as the pumpkin stem.
  7. Let them fully dry and serve!

2. Witches’ Brooms

These may be the easiest cutest things you could ever bring to a party! Watch these spooky snacks fly off your counter (cheesy pun intended).

Ingredients:

  • 1 bag of Miniature Reese’s Peanut Butter cups
  • 1 bag of pretzel sticks

Instructions:

  1. Grab a festive platter or plate to display your treats.
  2. Individually unwrap the Reese’s Peanut Butter cups and set them upside down on the platter.
  3. Poke 1 pretzel stick into the bottom of each peanut butter cup and voila, you have yourself a party dessert!

3. Boo-nana Pops

These are precious and semi-healthy snacks will make everyone happy!

Ingredients:

  • 3 medium bananas (serves 12)
  • White melting chocolate
  • Mini chocolate chips
  • Popsicle sticks

Instructions:

  1. Quarter the bananas until you have 4 pieces out of each one.
  2. Stick popsicle sticks into the bananas and place on a wax-paper-lined baking sheet.
  3. Place in the freezer.
  4. When the bananas are frozen, fill a coffee mug with the white melting chocolate.
  5. Melt the chocolate in the microwave at 30-second intervals until the chocolate is fully melted.
  6. Dip the bananas into the melted white chocolate one at a time, scraping off the excess chocolate with the back of the banana.
  7. Place dipped bananas on cookie sheet lined with wax paper.
  8. Quickly add the mini chocolate chips as eyes before the chocolate hardens.
